About New Zealand, Officiating Ministers, 1882-1920

This database contains lists all of the ministers who had the right to perform marriages in New Zealand under the heading of their churches’ denominations. The lists were generated “pursuant to the provisions of the General Assembly of New Zealand passed in the forty-fourth year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, and initiated ‘The Marriage Act, 1880.’”

The lists cover the following years: 1882, 1883, 1885, 1886, 1890, 1891, 1894, 1896–1903, 1905, 1907, 1909–1916, 1920.
