This data collection contains muster rolls, ship’s company lists and passenger lists for ships departing from New South Wales (often from Sydney) between December 1816 and 1825. The records consist of both pre-printed and handwritten forms.

Muster rolls provide general information and statistics about the ships, including when mustered, where, number of ship’s company, and number of passengers. The ship’s company lists provide details about the crew members, such as their name and rank. Passenger lists contain information on the passengers of the ship. For them information such as name, profession, and destination are given.
