England, Pallot's Marriage Index, 1780-1837

Pallot's Index to Marriages covers all but two of the 103 parishes in the old City of London, England. Information available includes: spouses names, marriage date and parish of marriage. The dates span the time from 1780 to the onset of General Registration in 1837. The more than 1.5 million marriage entries come mainly from London and Middlesex, but also include entries from 2500 parishes in 38 counties outside of London-many not available in other sources. Also included are several records from counties in Wales.

London, England, Church of England Marriages and Banns, 1754-1938

This data collection contains marriage records and marriage banns dating from 1754-1938 from more than 10,000 Church of England parish registers (including Bishop’s Transcripts) from parishes in the greater London area. They are taken from registers held at London Metropolitan Archives as well as those formerly at Guildhall Manuscripts Section. Please note that some marriages between 1754 and 1812 will also be found in the data collection London England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials 1538-1812.

Gretna Green, Scotland, Marriage Registers, 1794-1895

This data collection contains what has become known as the Lang Collection of Gretna Green Marriage Registers, being named after David and Simon Lang, a father and son duo who were “priests” and performed many marriages in Gretna Green between 1794 and 1828.
