Paris, France, Vicinity and other French Cities, Electoral Cards, 1900-1932

This database contains more than 4 million records extracted from French electoral rolls from 1900 to 1932. Information from the original electoral rolls was transcribed onto preprinted extraction forms by members of the French genealogical society ARFIDO (“Archives Fiduciaires et Documentaires”), founded in 1974 by Maurice Coutot, a prominent genealogist and heir researcher. The records cover mainly Paris, the old Seine department (corresponding to current departs of Haut-de-Seine 92, Seine-Saint-Denis 93, and Val de Marne 94) and other various cities of France, such as Bordeaux, Rennes, Toulouse, and Beziers. Because women were not granted the right to vote in France until 1945, all records included in this database are for men.

Though not all the forms are complete, they may contain the following information:

• birthplace
• birth date
• residence
• profession
