About South Carolina, U.S., Arriving Passenger and Crew Lists, 1906-1962

This database contains passenger and crew lists from aircraft arriving in Florida and South Carolina. Most of the planes departed from the British West Indies, Cuba, and Puerto Rico and arrived at Key West Naval Air Station, Florida, or at Charleston, South Carolina.

Most of the documents are one of two forms. Customs Form 7507, Clearance Declaration of Aircraft Commander, lists both passengers and alien crew members. These typically include the following information for passengers and crew, as well as providing ports and dates of arrival and departure.

  • name
  • age
  • gender
  • and citizenship

Some passengers filled out Form I-466, which provides more details, including race, physical description, marital status, name of a person the passenger was joining in the U.S., purpose for coming to U.S., and intended length of stay.
