About Würzburg, Germany, Deported Jews, 1941-1943

The records in this collection come from the appendix of a book called, Biographisches Handbuch Würzburger Juden 1900-1945, by Reiner Strätz. It contains the names, birth dates and places, and death dates of about 300 Jews. These people were brought to Würzburg only a few weeks or months before they were deported. The deportation schedule was:

  • 27 Nov 1941 to Riga
  • 23 Mar 1942 to Lublin (Izbica)
  • 25 Apr 1942 to Lublin (Izbica)
  • 10 Sep 1942 to Theresienstadt
  • 23 Sep 1942 to Theresienstadt
  • 17 Aug 1943 to Auschwitz
