About England and Wales, Law List, 1843
Law lists were published from the late eighteenth century to the late twentieth century. They contained the names of lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals. This database contains the law list of 1843. Aside from the name of the professional, information that may be found in this list includes the name of the firm for which the individual worked, the town in which the firm was located, and the date of call. Many law lists are held at the British Library, the Guildhall Library, and the National Archives of the U.K. Further research in these types of records may be done at these institutions.
