Covering a period from the mid-1800's right through to the later part of the 20th century this material will be of enormous benefit to anyone with a connection to New Zealand or even Australia as the Antipodeans had a habit of moving back and forth.
The material contained in this collection was amassed over a 20-year period by the late Anne Bromell. Anne travelled extensively around New Zealand with her microfilm camera, filming records where she found them and her work forms the basis of the record set gathered here.
New Zealand records are available to UK Heritage Plus and World Heritage members.
About Anne Bromell
Anne Bromell spent over twenty years scouring the nooks and crannies of New Zealand's archives, libraries and bookshops to microfilm the country's most important genealogical works. The material digitised and indexed in this collection comes from this wonderful cache of history. If it weren’t for the tireless efforts of Anne over many years, much of this material would have been lost.
Anne died in Auckland on the 23 August 2004. As you discover your story in these records, spare a moment to silently thank Anne for making it possible.
